I keep telling myself that. As I impatiently check poor Mirage yet again for ANY (no matter how faint) signs that she is, in fact, growing Argos babies in there. Sigh. June 13th is "the day" - we head down the hill for an ultrasound to find out if she managed to get pregnant after all, and then our real adventure (one way or the other) begins as she'll either be pampered as a pregnant mama or, if not, then she'll go into training for FastCAT so we can see how well she enjoys that, something else to add to her list of things worth getting in the car for. Typically she 'tolerates' the car ride to a show because she doesn't mind getting trotted around the ring (not in love with it the way Riley is, but she doesn't hate it) and she likes getting to see new places.
Sierra, in the meantime, is entered in the Burbank Kennel Club show for Friday 24 June, 2022, so we may have the pleasure of showing before Ms. Linda Clark for her evaluation. I will also get to see Kuma and Argos (and Jennie, of course - grin), so that's a win-win for me. She's been growing well and developing her personality on overdrive lately, especially with Mark still home full-time, recovering from his motorcycle accident. On that point, Sierra is truly a companion to him and if he makes even a squeak while doing his (painful but necessary) PT, she's right there, gently touching him and providing support in any way she can. Honestly, she's been a comfort to him from the moment he came home from the hospital. And of course, Mark's rate of recover is also an exercise in patience.
